This week, Twista released “Stackin Paper,” the second single off his upcoming LP, Crook County. While the tenured artist has already solidified himself as a staple in the game, Twista seems to be using this project as an opportunity to “bridge the gap” between two eras of Hip-Hop.
With his new single, “Stackin Paper,” Twista does this perfectly. Throughout the song, the Chicago vet intelligently straddles between the speed of signature syncopation and a more “modern” flow. He does this while engaging with an instrumental from ChaseTheMoney, one of the Midwest’s hottest, young producers.
By choosing to work with ChaseTheMoney on “Stackin Paper” as well as releasing the track as a single, Twista is laying a foundation for Crook County to show not only the sustainability but inclusiveness of his artistry — a feat that will only add to his legendary status.
Listen To Twista’s “Stackin Paper” below. Crook County is also set to feature emerging talent such as Blac Youngsta and The Boy Illinois.
