Back in 2010, notable classic movie network, AMC debuted a new action series that had the nerds going bananas. What had started as a comic-book series with a cult following, The Walking Dead has turned into a full fledged 360 degree marketable enterprise. Hats, video games, spin-offs and more have branched off from the iconic series due to it’s many classic scenes. The show has taken the cliff-hanger theory and squeezed out every tinny-tiny bit of it’s value time and time again, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. But nothing had people talking more than the incredibly intense scene to end out season 6–where main character Negan goes absolutely ape shit and attacks everybody and their mom in an executioner style scene that will either send chills up your spine and make you a fan, or completely turn you off to the show.
Naturally, this fits Hip-Hop’s root theory and aesthetic, so it was only a matter of time before the scene was created by a wordsmith. First up? Las Vegas spitter Miles Low, who comes in with the finale-inspired visual for, “Eenie Meenie” featuring fellow 702 rep, G. Reed.
Coming right out the gate with a catchy hook and a calculated delivery, Low lets his motives on the track be known within the first couple of seconds. “Eenie Meenie miny moe, catch a rapper by his flow,” the Vegas native taunts on the hook, before he gets into his scathing verse that no doubt includes shots at the politics of the music business with barbs like, “Yall Sentimental, I sent the missile, I meant to hit you/ I grasp the pencil, the shits a pencil, I been official.” Never the one to be out done, Reed nearly steals the show with his verse to close the track out; setting the tone immediately, kicking off his verse with, “Eenie Meenie miny me, all I see is tiny Reeds.”
Check out the lyrically driven track and it’s creative video above, and be sure to keep an eye out for Miles and his FCCMG clique.
