‘Ooh I think that I found myself a cheerleader!’ Remember that Omi song?! That track by Omi is a true tribute to the young lady who has been the backbone to her man.
The song is a winner!
You know that the song is a hit when your parents know the song, they play it at the movie theater and your friends sing the song in the club, the lunch lady at your cafeteria sings the song. Translation: that song had crossover appeal.
“And the pastor at church,” Omi told me on a recent episode of Scoop B Radio.

So with the mega success of that track in 2012, I’m curious: has OMI ever heard somebody use lyrics from that song in a pastor’s sermon? “They draw reference to it all the time,” Omi told me in our interview.
“But that’s what makes a good song a good song. When it appeals to the masses, you know what I mean; old, young and in between. When it appeals to a large audience that’s how you know it’s a successful song.”
