After 10 years in the NBA, Kevin Durant finally got his NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 during Game 5 of the Finals. Minutes after the game was over, Nike dropped a commercial titled ‘The Debate’, which addressed KD’s haters for the past 10 years:
Congrats KD and the Golden State Warriors for winning your second championship in three years. This has been a tough year for Durant, as his decision to leave Oklahoma City Thunder left a sour taste in many critics mouths (add on the fact that he left OKC for the very team they lost to in last year’s playoffs).
How can you stay mad at a man who wanted to do what was best for his legacy? It was a great season to watch and the Golden State did not disappoint.
