DJ Khaled and Nas have already struck gold before: last year’s Major Key contained the very dope “Nas Album Done” (a track that also spawned rumors of an upcoming Nas release). Now, the two are back together for Khaled’s new project Grateful — and tonight sees a new visual for the single “It’s Secured,” which also features frequent collaborator Travis Scott.
The Eif Rivera-directed clip plays off an apparent heist, with the artists as the prime suspects. While Scott handled hook duties, “Mr. One Mic” continues his usual lyrical slaughter over the 808-Ray, Cool & Dre and Khaled production:
Momma stressin’, seen the ratchets in the dresser
She not asking questions, seen the vests
Seen other kids in the caskets restin’
Life ill, ’cause most of my n***as in jail
For them it was hustle or death, I reshuffled my deck
I gave myself a good hand
Probably ran through a hundred million
Per decade, I’m not phased
And I could spot you a hundred million
Before you could ever spot grays
Check out “It’s Secured” above and pick up Grateful here. Hopefully, the Nas album will arrive shortly after.
