We’re not immediately familiar with the multi-genre collective 8 Track, but they’re certainly bringing some fresh air to D.C.’s now-thriving urban music scene. Apparently comprised of rapper Darius Wolley, producer J Rob, “rocker” Dag’ Nabbit and choir director Recinotes, this quartet is currently gearing up for the release of their new project Rewind…they’ve already given newfound fans a taste of what to expect with the tracks “Child’s Play” and “Not The One.”
This week, they deliver the melodic, soulful new single “Circles,” which is admittedly difficult to put into one box (while pretty Hip-Hop-oriented, it boasts a little bit of everything each member has to offer). The best description is that “Circles” sounds like a tune perfect for the Summer weather — in fact, we can only imagine how these guys perform this cut live.
