67 is back. The Brixton Hill collective have been burning up the streets and the digital airwaves since last year’s Let’s Lurk, which boasted quality cuts like “5AM Vamping,” “Jump Out Gang” and the Giggs-assisted title track (not to mention plenty of other singles). Now, the UK Drill innovators are gearing up for the release of their forthcoming EP The Glorious Twelfth — they’s kicked off that momentum with a new track and visual for “Before Tour.”
On the Mun Roe-produced track, Monkey, ASAP, Liquez, Dimzy and LD continue their brand of dark, straight-to-the-point bars over menacing beats, a sign that they’ve no plans of letting up in 2017 (despite one of the members, SJ, currently in custody). LD explained the tune to Complex, who premiered the clip:
We’ve been in the studio working like mad to create something that ups the levels a bit and this is the first taste… This tune represents our pain, obstacles, targets, and achievements. And we have plenty more like this to come.
Enjoy “Before Tour” below. The Glorious Twelfth is said to be dropping June 15th.
