It’s been damn near a decade since T-Pain and Lil Wayne (both in their absolute prime) dropped chart-toppers like “Can’t Believe It” and “Got Money.” Not long after, the masses were waiting for the release of the two collaborators T-Wayne project…which never came to fruition (some believe that JAY Z‘s “Death Of AutoTune” and the subsequent backlash over the audio processor kill it off).
Fast-forward to 2017, and — rejoice — T-Pain has finally liberated the long-awaited, near-mythical release, which sees 8 tracks and production from the likes of Tha Bizness and Bangladesh. As expected, T-Wayne is filled with a mix of Rap and tech-assisted singing, straight out of 2008. If anything, it’s quality music from two artists that (aside from some singles and collaborations*) haven’t been able to bless their longtime fans with heat for quite a while.
