Atlanta is… well it’s Atlanta. I could garner up a history lesson on the city that serves as a “who’s who” in Hip-Hop history, but I’ll spare you the details and just let you know that Patchwerk might be the new Hitsville. With that kind of firepower, historically, behind the city; it’s hard not to catch the fever. No stranger to the feeling, native Rell Pinkney checks in to the RESPECT. pages for the first time with the wavy new visual for his single, “Ya!”
Growing up no different than many in Atlanta, native Rell Pinkney has a story to tell. One that might not be so receptive to everybody, but is real life for him. The money, girls, drugs, and more drugs associated with the fast live lures and entices many young ATLiens into the dream that is becoming a Southern Icon. The video, creatively edited to look like it’s being shot from an iPhone camera, serves as the newest single off of Rell’s upcoming tape, slated to come sometime later this year.
Check out the visual below and keep an eye out for the Georgia product.
