Keffaleng creates late night lust on Not So Famous. Off an impressive and seemingly innocuous release of his debut project, (ironically the video is also the title track) the young Canadian hybrid’s brand of infectious melodies and distinct sound have played pivotal roles in positioning him as a major breakout. Not So Famous is the chronicling of sex and intrigue as the corner store interest quickly turns to a Bonnie & Clyde-like connection. Eventually, the risks which are taken result in an rather unsavory character (protagonist from the corner store) searching for what seems is now Keffaleng’s. The RXSH directed piece is clean; the two craft a visual experience that has you rooting for Keffaleng, admiring the artistry, and ultimately desiring more. Armed with a powerful release and a visual treatment to match, Canada’s Keffalang’s moniker Not So Famous may soon be a thing of the past.
