For the past couple of years, London’s newest Rap star J Hus has been on an absolute tear, delivering both infectious singles (ex. “Friendly,” “Lean & Bop“), fiery freestyles and the popular mixtape The 15th Day. Now, Mr. Bouff Daddy revealed both a new label deal with Black Butter (via Epic/Sony) and his official debut, titled Common Sense.
The project boasts seventeen tracks and appearances from Mo Stack, Mist, Burna Boy and Tiggs Da Author…production (for the most part) is handled by JAE5, who helped bring together J Hus’ genre-bending style (a fluid combination of Hip-Hop, Afrobeat and Dancehall).
Stream Common Sense below via Apple Music, Spotify and TIDAL. Also included: a dark-yet-flashy visual for “Did You See.” If you’re in the UK, you can check out J Hus (and supporting acts Nadia Rose, Lotto Boyzz and more) on tour.
