Earlier this week, Bay Area emcee G-Eazy delivered a surprising collaboration with 9th Wonder titled “Maximum.” More recently (and at the time of this post), he then dropped off three more dope cuts in celebration of his 28th birthday: “Get Mine” (featuring Snoop Dogg and produced by Murda Beatz), “Eyes Closed” (featuring Johnny Yukon and produced by Invincible) and “Special Love” (featuring and produced by Dakari). All of the aforementioned four function as an EP of loose tracks for fans to enjoy while Young Gerald puts the finishing touches on his new album.
Now, it looks like the campaign for Eazy’s follow-up to 2015’s When It’s Dark Out is officially in motion — beginning with the dark and bouncy new single “Shake It Up,” which sees assistance from Bay Area legend E-40, along with Atlanta rising stars MadeInTYO and 24hrs. It’s a perfect mix of harmonic swag and clever wordplay about women, vices and California vibes…40 even gets political, thanking President Barack Obama for granting clemency to former drug kingpin Darryl ‘Lil D’ Reed.
Enjoy all of G-Eazy’s new tunes below and pick up “Shake It Up” via iTunes.
