This week is a pretty big week! The long awaited Baywatch Movie hits theaters on Thursday. The Seth Gordon directed film stars he film stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass, Ilfenesh Hadera, Priyanka Chopra, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, David Hasselhoff, and Pamela Anderson.
The film, projected to gross $45–50 million over its five-day opening weekend is sure to be a smash hit. But what’s kinda cool is that nostalgia is running rampid as we all know that there would be no Baywatch without the Hoff, who played the role of Mitch Buchannon in the 90s series.
Hasselhoff played in that drama after the success of the 80s series, Knight Rider.
Both shows had some pretty cool theme songs.;
Ya gotta wonder, which one Hasselhoff liked better: Knight Rider or Baywatch. Appearing on Scoop B Radio Overtime with Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, The Hof weighed in
“Well that’s a good question, I’ve never been asked that question before,” David Hasselhoff told me on Scoop B Radio Overtime.
“Over the years I’ve played: ‘Some people stand in the darkness’ and the audience goes berserk. The guys actually rip of their t-shirts and sometimes, if I’m lucky the girls rip off their shirts, as well. But it’s a monster hit. You know Busta Rhymes came out with the Knight Rider theme in one of his songs, I think in the 90’s and it was just too good. So to this day believe it or not, that Knight Rider theme and the Knight Rider’s call follow me everywhere I go, as does the Baywatch theme. So I kind of think they’re hand in hand.”
Sounds like The Hof likes both! What about you guys? You decide!
What theme song is better?
Is it Knight Rider?
Or do you like Baywatch?
