“Pray to God” is the buzzing new single from Brooklyn-born, Queensbridge-bred artist Piif Jones. His approach to vocals perfectly harnesses the melody and power of producer MetroBoomin’s massive instrumental, making this one of the year’s biggest bangers to date.
Every element of “Pray to God” demonstrates what makes Jones such an intriguing talent. The juxtaposition of his rapid-fire verses with his woozy, sing-along choruses is addictive and gripping. It also makes for a killer introduction for newcomers who have been sleeping on the QB native’s music, while those who have been following his career are no doubt anticipating his forthcoming project, Success Is Promised.
As he continues putting the finishing touches on that record, Jones is also gearing up for a tour called the “This Is Me Tour” that will take him to six cities on the East Coast. Be on the look out for dates and more information in the coming months, in addition to some upcoming collaborations with his close friend, Harlem’s own Dave East.
