Hailing out of the mecca of hip-hop is Jimmy ValenTime; a conscious rap artist who unleashes a new joint titled “Trump”, where he shares his political views for Justice. Jimmy is a fixture of the NYC underground scene whose diverse collaborations include Statik Selektah and Ro James. His life experiences, growing up in the South Bronx shape his music and continue to propel him to achieve his highest being.
Jimmy ValenTime has released two albums Life in Amazin Times (2012). The album first single “Understand” was produced by Statik Selektah and the album featured an unsigned Ro James, a mutual friend recommend Ro for Jimmy’s Album feeling their music had similar vibes. He was interviewed and freestyled for NBC (News 4) at the closing of Fat Beats. Jimmy is also an accomplished essayist having written articles for The Source, The Goodman Project, and ByronCrawford.com. In 2015, Jimmy ValenTime’s single “Bad Decisions” was used on Vice Television. In 2016, Jimmy released a compilation that carried his most stream singles “Laughing, for The Wrong Reasons.”
