Letoya Luckett is back with “Used To,” part two to her steamy “Back 2 Life” music visual.
In “Back 2 Life” Letoya is going through the motions with her cheating live-in boyfriend who thinks he’s got game.
But he soon learns she isn’t blind to his player tactics when he comes home to an empty house.
In part two, she shows off on him a bit with her ability to bounce back from the tumultuous breakup when they run into each other.
He begs her for another chance at their relationship, but his pleas fall on deaf ears as she confirms it’s over.
The visual single oozes with the confidence of a woman who knows her worth.
In an interview with Billboard, the Grammy-Award winning singer opened up about her inspiration for the track.
‘Used To’ is one of my favorite records because of its confident “in-your-face lyrics. There’s nothing more attractive than a woman who’s humble, but knows what she can bring to the table. I wanted the video to possess that same quality. It shows the ‘bounce back’ from the disappointment of a relationship gone wrong, but it also showcases the vulnerability of a woman who allowed herself to Love.
The visual concludes on another “to be continued” cliffhanger.
Both “Back 2 Life” and “Used To” is featured on Letoya’s third studio album also titled, Back 2 Life.
The new set is scheduled for distribution on May 12 via eOne Music Entertainment.
Back 2 Life marks Letoya’s first studio album following a seven-year hiatus. The new album is now available for preorder on iTunes.
