Future and Metro Boomin easily have one of the best MC-producer relationship in todays hip-hop considering the turnt up hits they never fail to provide.
It’s been almost exactly one year since the release of Future’s Metro Boomin-produced record, “Wicked” which quickly topped the charts and hit gold. Since then, hip-hop heads have been on their toes excited to hear what else the power duo had in store. Thanks to a new social media craze and a very dope flute sample, “Mask Off” from Future’s self-titled fifth studio album joins the club and goes gold by the RIAA.
With the mesmerizing flute instantly putting listeners into a trance the moment the sample begins to loop, we cannot say we are surprised it has earned the gold certification.
The famous flute sample from Future’s new hit also inspired twitter to create the #MaskoffChallenge, a new challenge where musicians can showcase their musical instrument skills while replicating the flute sample. While the #MaskoffChallenge continues to buzz on the internet, its is evident “Mask Off” will reach platinum status soon.
