While his fellow Rap peers continue to make headlines, Mac Miller has remained somewhat quiet since the release of last year’s critically-acclaimed release The Divine Feminine. This week, the Pittsburgh emcee changes that with a new short film for album standout “Cinderella,” which features Ty Dolla $ign.
Simply put, the 12-minute, Bo Mirosseni-directed video is absolutely amazing to watch. It begins with a blindfolded Mac being driven to a private club (where Ty$ is the on-stage performance)…there’s an angel — played by model Ebonique — that draws the star’s attention and an intimate, virtual 3D dance routine happening in another room. Everyone attending then goes lifeless before Mac finishes off the DJ Dahi-produced cut in an empty (?) room and leaves to continue his journey elsewhere.
Enjoy “Cinderella” below and — if you haven’t already — pick up The Divine Feminine here, which sees additional appearances from Bilal, Anderson .Paak, Kendrick Lamar, (girlfriend) Ariana Grande and more.
