Queens, New York-based artist Anik Khan delivers a very motivational single titled “Kites.” The song is an ode to holding on through rough times.
Anik’s musical influence is a combination of his inheritance and his being raised in New York. His father was a freedom fighter in Bangladesh; he moved to Queens at a young age, so naturally he’s no stranger to struggle whilst staying strong.
“Kites” is the lead single from Khan’s forthcoming EP of the same name. While still influenced by different sounds, the song does steer away from emphasizing them; instead, the song focuses on encouraging lyrics about holding on in the face of darkness and adversity.
The Kites EP will be released April 28. In the meantime, take a listen to the single below.
