Today, Rick Ross liberates his ninth studio album Better You Than Me, follows recently released singles “I Think She Like Me” (featuring Ty Dolla $ign) and the Future, Jeezy and Yo Gotti-assisted “Dead Presidents”. In addition, Raphael Saadiq, Meek Mill, Nas, Scrilla, Anthony Hamilton and more appear on the 14-track project.
Currently, folks are already speaking on “Idols Become Rivals” (which features comedy legend Chris Rock, who appears intermittently on the album), which serves as a scathing ode to Birdman; Ross’ has openly lambasted the Cash Money CEO since he had his much publicised fallout with Lil Wayne over money (and The Carter V‘s suspended animation). Fans will also see the return of Ross’ highly-coveted “Maybach Music” series, which has previously included collaborations from the likes of T.I., Jadakiss, T-Pain, Ne-Yo and JAY Z. Adding to a surprising production change (J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League is swapped out for Buda & Grandz and Beat Butcha), Detroit artist DeJ Loaf handles supporting duties on the fifth installment.
[SIDENOTE: Did Ross also diss Nicki Minaj?]
Stream Rather You Than Me below via Apple Music and Spotify; also included is Ross’ new visual for the Wale and Young Thug-assisted “Trap Trap Trap”. Expect plenty of Hip-Hop beef think pieces to pop up everywhere thanks to this one.
