Aside from her beauty and her amazing voice, Rihanna is a young woman with the strength and grace that brightens up our world. But now there is something new to add to her resume of flawlessness so go ahead and mark your calendars for February 28th because it’s a Rihanna holiday. The 29-year-old Barbados native receives Harvard’s Humanitarian of the Year award at the Sanders Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts and boy was this a remarkable moment for the singer.
Shining bright like a diamond in her grey dress, the artist accepts the award for her philanthropy she has completed over the years. Aside from her fabulous chart topping music career, Rihanna has built a diagnosis and treatment facility in Barbados and created a scholarship program for the student attending U.S. colleges from Caribbean countries. Previous winners of this award include actor James Earl Jones and activist Malala Yousafzai.
“So I made it to Harvard,” as she flips her hair and smiles in disbelief. “Never thought id be able to say that in my life. But it feels good.” You can watch Rihanna accept the award below.
