TMZ is reporting that Meek Mill has been charged with misdemeanor assault today (Wednesday). According to them, the Philadelphia rapper got into an apparent altercation with some employees at St. Louis Lambert International Airport; apparently, one of them wanted to take a photo with Meek and was rebuffed. Police were then called to the scene, where they gave all os those involved a summons to appear in court in lieu of arrest.
It was also noted that Meek is still on probation for a weapons and drug conviction — that judgement has landed him in and out of prison since (his most recent being a months-long stint in 2014 and house arrest last year). Whether or not this new charge will trigger a violation remains to be seen…he did give a couple of responses to the incident via social media:
