So Kendrick Lamar just wiped off everything from his Instagram and posted a mysterious post reading “VI.” Fans took to social media to express their thoughts on if Kendrick Lamar is actually gearing up to bless them with his 4th album. If this is true, this will technically be the follow-up to To Pimp a Butterfly.
Earlier this month, Kendrick hinted at some themes of the forthcoming record.
“I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork,” he said. “To Pimp a Butterfly was addressing the problem. I’m in a space now where I’m not addressing the problem anymore. We’re in a time where we exclude one major component out of this whole thing called life: God. Nobody speaks on it because it’s almost in conflict with what’s going on in the world when you talk about politics and government and the system.” Kendrick Lamar explained during his T Magazine interview.
We have no idea when K. Dot’s new project is coming, but if his IG post is any indication, it could be coming sooner than you think.
