Since 50 cent‘s Power wasn’t nominated for a Golden Globe as the actor, producer and rapper had hoped but it seems as if he may be taking things to the next level. Oscars, maybe? While we’re really not sure but word on the street– or should we say a little birdie by the name of Rotimi Akinosho of Power– has come forth and spilled the beans that the show may possibly be in talks of heading to the big screen.
Per Complex, Akinosho had this to say:
“Yes, we are working on it. There is a strong possibility that it is happening, “Fifty talks about it all the time.”
Rotimi also stated that if the show hit the movies, it would be “a flashback of all the characters when they were young.” I guess we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait on this news from 50 himself. It could be that Rotimi just gave us all something to be on the edge of our seats about to continue the hyping up the show. Power, although it has not been nominated for a shiny Globe has actually been holding its own especially on social media, which has been a driving force in the show’s success.
So, what do you think? Should Power be made into a movie? Let us know what you think in the comments. Season 3 of Power should be back mid-summer!
