The legendary Roots crew have announced the line-up for their tenth annual Roots Picnic, which sees Pharrell Williams and the Philadelphia band as the main act, along with additional headliners Solange Knowles, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage and Kimbra. In addition, Thundercat, (Off-White’s) Virgil Abloh, Michael Kiwanuka, Pete Rock, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Noname (Gypsy), Gilles Peterson and more will be taking to the stage as well.
One very big moment to be hype about: Roots’ frontman Black Thought and J. Period are also apparently creating a new mixtape live and in the flesh: they’ll be joined by Fat Joe, Mobb Deep and Scott Storch during their set. Let that sink in.
The Roots Picnic takes place on Saturday, June 3rd and Philadelphia’s Festival Pier; you can get your tickets now via the festival website (or Ticketmaster). Check out the full line-up below.
