“The music video was so fun to make. I had such an amazing team working with me, and they made the whole process super enjoyable and professional at the same time. SO much work went into it, there were months of planning and casting for the right people to bring it all together. I sat down with my co-writer and producer to come up with the concept and story board for the video. I organized what I wanted it to look like frame by frame until I had a full clear picture in my mind. From there, I went on the hunt to cast the two perfect actors and I am absolutely rapt with the two that I found. The Depth Collective boys (the videographers) worked on my last video with me and are absolutely incredible to work with. They just know how to bring it all together beautifully. I am extremely proud of the result we achieved over the few short days that we were filming, especially considering we are a creative team so young. I am super proud of this video, because I feel it really reflects the theme and mood of the song. It is the perfect visual to match the tune, and even better than what I imagined it could be. I really wanted to create something special, emotive and thought-provoking; and to stay true to the origins of the music, include a 90’s and 2000’s RnB vibe in the music video. I wanted it to feel as real and raw as possible. I took inspiration from the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna and Jojo. I am so grateful to have had such an amazing team around me, and hope the viewers enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!”
