Bronx rapper Haddy Racks reveals his emotional and uplifting new “My Lil Man” video, which portrays the real-life trials and tribulations he faced when seeking visitation rights with his son.
As you’ll see in the visuals, the story’s raw and gripping narrative has its own happy ending, because Racks and his actual son spend much of the video together catching up on lost time. Director IAMNATURELL captures their time together in a way that makes it feel like you’re watching a short film unfold, because the clip also features moments where Racks is clearly distraught over the situation.
The video arrives after Racks’ prolific and impressive 2016. The year included the release of his debut album, Resumé, which features “My Lil Man”, produced by Buda & Grandz, as well as other standout tracks, in addition to two projects, Racketeering and Mixtagram. Mixtagram is actually an ongoing, conceptual effort that blends Instagram videos with music from Racketeering, proving that Racks is just as innovative as he is talented.
You can watch the video for “My Lil Man” now, at the top of the post and feel free to drop us your thoughts in the comments section. Resumé is available on all major digital retailers and streaming platforms via Rack’d Up.
