Jon Hope is no stranger to the game. From sharing the stages with some of the biggest names in the industry such as Wiz Khalifa and J.cole, Hope has managed to keep his fanbase eager for more with the release of the visual for “The Left Hand.” Hope sets the record straight and issues a thought-provoking and honest mission statement in a scenic Southern California field, addressing the competition, lovers, and haters. “The Left Hand,” shot by ShootersClubLA serves as a warm-up to Jon Hope’s forthcoming project, Savage Beauty, which is expected to drop sometime in 2017.
In “The Left Hand” Jon Hope reflects on his successes, and ambitious hopes for the future. Although “The Left Hand” is a lyric video, Jon’s creative expression paired with ShooterClubLA’s direction is what makes the visual so engrossing for the song. It expresses his jagged journey that included foster care, an abandoning father, and sidestepping the pitfalls of public housing as a gifted private school student, but also depicted his hope for the future and what is to come. His journey is definitely one to join the ride for, if you haven’t already.
