Make no mistake: Gucci Mane is the hardest working man in Hip-Hop right now, a title that he’s managed to hold even while incarcerated. Last year saw three albums, numerous big name collaborations and a slew of mixtapes from the Atlanta veteran; now, Guwop is ready to kick off 2017 with an EP titled 3 For Free, produced in its entirety by longtime collaborator Shawty Redd.
Adding to the new music, Gucci has also announced the title of his next album to be Drop Top Wizop, initially revealed in a series of excited tweets. As of today, no other information — release date, features or otherwise — is known about the new project. The album could arrive at the same time as Gucci’s forthcoming (and yet-to-be-titled) memoir, which he spoke on in an interview with NPR late last year:
I was trying to keep it private because I didn’t want to scare people away… But once I went to prison, all that stuff in the past — I’m open to talk about it. That’s why I wrote a book.
In the meantime, you can stream 3 For Free below; if you missed it, you can also enjoy his recent assist alongside 2 Chainz and Quavo (“Good Drank”) here.
