17 year old Santa Rosa native Chandler Rachelle put an youthful and edgy twist on “Solo Cup,” her latest track featuring a tropical melody lingering in the background and her stout proclamation that she’s “sipping whiskey out a solo cup.” The track shows itself off in the same light as plenty slower tempo party tracks currently playing in stereo systems now, with the goal, presumably, of being a track that you can both vibe and be sensual to.
Bay Area rapper Bobby Brackins inserts his own set of bars in the latter part of the song, adding to the aforementioned vibe the track continues to give off. Nic Nac, who produced Chris Brown‘s “Loyal,” and “Ayo,” with Tyga, adds a similar flavor to Chandler Rachelle’s track. Rachelle herself even has the cadence of rapping at some portions in the song, in an act very redolent to some of Rihanna‘s work.
