In a twisted social experiment, 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise Belko corporate office in Bogotá, Colombia and ordered by an unknown voice coming from the company’s intercom system to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed. The film is directed by Greg McLean (Wolf Creek), written by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and stars Josh Brener (The Internship, Silicon Valley), Adria Arjona (Emerald City) and Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy).
In the trailer an ordinary day at the office turns into Belko employee’s worst nightmare. They are told to choose 3 coworkers and kill them or 6 will be killed by the corporation. Unable to make a decision and thinking they are being pranked, they carry on with their day. Seconds later a man’s head explodes in the lobby. Next strong pieces of metal that resemble blast shields, cover all the windows and secure the building so that no one can leave while the owners of the corporation watch on surveillance cameras. Even the roof of the building isn’t safe as armed guards shoot at the employees who try to escape or signal for help.
We then learn the employees have been tagged. They are supplied with weapons and employees turn on each other. The next phase is initiated. 30 people must be chosen and killed or 60 will be killed by the corporation. Faced with a life or death situation Belko employees divide into two camps; the manipulators and those with empathy for others.
Coworkers will turn on each other. Who will survive this office battle royale? Find out on March 17th when The Belko Experiment hits theaters.
