Following last year’s successful celebration, A$AP Rocky and the gang (A$AP Mob) have announced details for the second annual Yams Day concert, which pays tribute to its namesake — and A$AP Worldwide architect — A$AP Yams, who tragically passed away in 2015. Included in the line-up for the event: Joey BADA$$, Cam’ron, Lil Uzi Vert, TDE (could this mean that Kendrick Lamar and Black Hippy will be making an appearance?), Danny Brown and Flatbush Zombies…essentially, Yams Day will be nothing short of a family affair. Even Tyler, The Creator is listed as one of the “special appearances” set to take the stage in honor of Yams (real name: Steven Rodriguez).
Check out the flyer for Yams Day below and get your tickets via Ticketmaster. It all goes down at Madison Square Garden’s The Theater on the 18th of January (the anniversary of Yams’ unfortunate passing). In related news, the A$AP-helmed Cozy Tapes Vol. 1 — which was created from an initial idea of Yams prior to his death — can be streamed/purchased here.
