RESPECT. Premiere: SeddyMac - "More of That" (Video) - RESPECT.

Clarksville, Tenn. native SeddyMac offers a peek into the life of a songwriter in his new video for “ More of That,” a track that combines contemplative bars with one of the year’s catchiest hooks.

Director ALYX brings the thoughtful single to life in this clip by following a day in the life of a creative. In this case, it’s Mac as he observes and digests everything around him while piecing together lyrics throughout his journey in the cityscape. ALYX also edited the video and provided sharp little touches, like highlighting Mac’s most poignant lyrics for the viewer.

The video is also another opportunity to sit with one of Mac’s finest tracks to date. It’s produced by AYODLO, whose head-nodding instrumental suits the more melodic vocals offered by the emcee. The sing-song vibe of the hook is a somewhat-playful counterpart to the rapped verses that carry more weight.

To that point, Mac says “More of That” was “inspired by a mixture between some life experiences, and my views on violence, death and the importance of black people and culture.” He added that, “All in all, everything can be worked out with love. Less hatred/negativity and more love/positivity.”
