Plenty of artists utilize the visual to further the feeling they’re trying to convey in the music. A visual can add to a narrative and make the song have an actual painting to go along with the lyrics and instrumentation, which previous went without illustrative support.
J.R. Donato‘s “All Winter” does exactly that in this visual, recently released via Taylor Gang. “All Winter” features the standard trap instrumental we’re all accustomed to, though imbued with a little bit of idiosyncratic flavor, as J.R. Donato talks about the high life, while literally being up high in the air. J.R. rides in a helicopter overlooking hotspots around Chicago- the United Center, amongst others- and rapping about his glamorous lifestyle.
This same glamorous lifestyle is one he’s clearly accustomed to, being only 21 and having 8 years experience in the rap game under his belt.
Keep up with J.R. via his Twitter, and look out for more tracks soon.
