Rising rapper/songwriter/producer Belly has released the music video to his latest track “Trap Phone” featuring Jadakiss.
Directed in New York City by Spiff TV, the music video features the duo driving and performing the song around the city while paying homage to iconic hip-hop videos of the past. The song comes from Belly’s latest acclaimed mixtape, Inzombia. The 11-track mixtape was released in November and features collaborations with Future, Young Thug and rising artist Nav.
The Oscar-nominated and GRAMMY-winning musician has penned lyrics for some of The Weeknd’s catalogue (including “Earned It” from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack), Beyonce (“6 Inch”), Ariana Grande, Juicy J and BANKS, to name a few and is now looking to transition into making his own music.
Belly had a No. 1 single with “Might Not” featuring The Weeknd and is currently gearing to release a debut album with RocNation in early 2017.
