The MC and Chicago representer has provided an even handed reflection on where hip hop is and why the roots of this culture should be respected. It kind of feels like a history class lesson that ya’ got in 2nd grade.

Old school drumming and even a classic references to picking up music at Sam Goody stores, this song is a must listen.

The catchiest line in the song has to be the hook: I ain’t tripping on the golden age music changes all the time in a growing stage/And I ain’t hating on the drill and trap but it wouldn’t be here without that Ol boom bap.
