After being on a hiatus for nearly two decades, A Tribe Called Quest has returned with a new album and today, they share a new video for “We The People….”
The song is filled with substance that today’s hip-hop scene has been missing. This new track takes you back to the roots of hip-hop when artists used music as a platform to expose real issues. Since the video is just nothing more than red, white and green graffiti drawings and lyrics, the listeners can really pay attention to their extreme lyricism. It speaks on racial issues, government issues the lack of awareness, and media influences.

Their recently released 16-track album The new album We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service will give you an clear indication of what hip-hop used to sound like.
