Tyler, the Creator dropped a trailer for a new a documentary, entitled Cherry Bomb, last night. The video first surfaced when Illegal Civilization dropped it on Twitter; they also stated online that a 10 minute clip will be shown at Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival (Tyler’s music festival in L.A.) this weekend. In the trailer, he shows clips of himself and others artists, including A$AP Rocky, Kali Uchis, Syd the Kid, and Kanye West.
Featuring visuals of Tyler wearing his signature GOLF apparel, he teases a documentary that will explore his life as an artist and the many characters that float in and out of it. Presented by ‘Illegal Civ Cinema’, clips of him in the studio are interlaced with him playing a piano with white and hunter green keys. The film does not look over-produced, almost as if it was filmed “vlog” style, following Tyler around in his daily life. The last shot of the short trailer shows a pink plastic dinosaur hitting a flying UFO, on a cheesy space background, revealing the release date of the film – January 2017. It will definitely be something to look forward to in the new year.
