Since returning home from prison, Gucci Man has turned into a music machine, releasing an influx new of music. Now, two days later after dropping “I Told You” with Young Thug, Gucci linked up with another ATL native, Quavo, for “Floor Seats.”
“Floor Seats,” Guwop’s his second single off his forthcoming album The Return Of East Atlanta Santa, which drops December 16, and of course, it’s more quality music from Gucci. He and Quavo make literal comparisons to their lives and NBA players. The cover art speaks for it self. Gucci’s face covers Clipper’s Deandre Jordan’s face as he posterized then Detroit Piston’s guard Brandon Knight with a monstrous dunk. You have to be balling pretty hard to do something like that.
Now Gucci nor Quavo can’t literally do that, but from the song “Floor Seats,” they remind us that the both of them are still ballers, figuratively. Quavo raps on the hook about $50,000 on dice games and sitting court side, while Gucci brags on about his expensive taste and expensive new Rolls Royce.
He also compares himself and Quavo to the Splash Brother Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Quavo makes a Penny Hardaway reference on the hook and Gucci also makes a balling like LeBron metaphor.
Gucci Mane is doing a wonderful job making up for his absence. It’s like we’re getting a album every season. Everybody’s Looking was his summer release, Woptober was the fall release and now he’s working on his winter drop, The Return Of East Atlanta Santa. Check out his new single “Floor Seats.”
