Last night, Kid Cudi took to the stage for the first time since entering rehab two weeks ago for signs of depression.
Fans were over joyed to see Cudi energized and positive as ever during his set last night at ComplexCon held at the Long Beach Convention Center in California. Two weeks ago Kid Cudi checked into a rehabilitation center for signs of depression, something he has been rumored to be dealing with for some time now.
A number of artists took to Twitter after reviving the news to offer words of hope, love and admiration. Travis Scott shared a particularly heart felt message which has since been deleted. Kanye West even asked fans at a recent tour stop to sing for Cudi while he remained in care, despite the evident tension in their relationship.
During Cudder’s performance, he surprised those in attendance by bringing out Pharrell and Travis Scott. Cudi and Scott performed “Through The Late Night”, a popular track of Scott’s most recent album. This was not only a huge night for Kid Cudi and his fans, but also for Travis Scott, considering he has named Cudi as his idol and inspiration numerous times. Check out some of the videos and tweets from last nights performance.

Now that Cudi has made his triumphant return from rehab, the topic on everyone’s mind is the tension surrounding himself, Drake and now possibly Kanye West. After a twitter rant that ultimately became directed at both Drake and Kanye, Drake released a diss track only days after Cudi checked into rehab. This sparked a significant amount of controversy from fans, and a less than friendly response from Cudi via Twitter with only days left before his release from rehab. It will be interesting to see how Cudi handles the situation moving forward. Judging from his tweets, one would expect there to be an official follow up, however its also possible Cudi is past that negative energy and looking to build upon his positive energy.
