On Thursday, West touched down at The Forum in Los Angeles (his sixth appearance there overall during this tour)…during the show, it became clear that he was having problems with his voice. As can be seen above (via TMZ), West was struggling to sing during the track “Only One” when he finally give up and told the audience that he couldn’t continue:
Turn on the lights, show’s over… I’m so hoarse. I can’t finish the show. …I can’t let y’all have a show where I can’t perform for you.
He also promised the fans (who were collectively booing at this point) a full refund, as well as a return date. Whether or not West or Ticketmaster will honor this is yet to be seen — especially since there was reportedly about 10 minutes left before the concert would’ve ended.
No word yet on if ‘Ye’s tour dates in the immediate future would be affected. He does have a bit of a needed break: is next scheduled stop is at San Jose’s SAP Center on November 17th.
