DMV rap artists GoldLink and Ciscero hit the dance floor to deliver a groovy visual for his upbeat dance record “Fall In Love.” In the video shot by Shomi Patwaryfor, the two artists attend a house party surrounded by beautiful women that play potential love interests. The video features guest appearances by DMV’s very own Lean Squad and the bay area’s Hyphy Hoochies. GoldLink is a rapper from the DMV that has a career quickly taking over the nation through his love of making distinctive records that mesh the sounds of rap, dance, and soul. The track was released back in August and is produced by KAYTRANADA and shares the vocals of April George. Ciscero was able to take a few moments from all the praise he is receiving to speak on the success of the track and making the music video.
RESPECT.: What is it like working with GoldLink?
I was just talking about this with my homegirl April, he is a real visionary, he gets it. He is humble and a great guy. He pushes you to do better.
RESPECT.: Where was the video filmed?
In Maryland, super lavish and super posh place that was about to be sold. The guy didn’t mind us shooting there. It was lit!
RESPECT.: Hyphy Hoochies and Lean Squad are featured in the music video. What made them great additions?
They have so much sauce! There is no bad angles, its effortless with them and they’re cool as hell! Them lean squad ni**as can easily be the life of the party. They can dance their asses off and it made shooting the video fun. We were there all day but it didn’t feel like it. Shoutout to B Nard.
RESPECT.:Do you feel like anything has changed for you from the success of the track?
Yeah, producers who usually don’t give you the time of day start getting back to you. No shade, i am not mad at it. I get it, it’s a show and prove industry! You finally get the chance to show what you can do over decent production and the success shows me that God is great. Everything kind of fell into place and that’s a favor for real, its not something I could’ve done without God.
