Mic Righteous has been making quite the name for himself.
Hailing from the UK, his bars and his ability to freestyle have caught the eye of many. Today he drops his debut album Dreamland. Heavy with emotion and political sentiments, for Mic Righteous the record is his metaphorical reflection of society in the UK.
“Dreamland is a story. Although we see through different lenses I hope through the story of my beginning you find a piece of your own” – Mic Righteous
In the run up to the release Dreamland, Mic Righteous recently dropped a freestyle on BBC Radio 1 with DJ Charlie Sloth. Bold and outspoken, in part 1 he unapologetically speaks on freeing Palestine. Mic has definitely not been taking it easy ahead of the new record, giving us plenty of music to chew on. The rapper also dropped part two of the freestyle #Dreamland No More part 2 yesterday, spitting some truths about the society we live in, specifically about the war in Syria.
Dreamland is an eighteen track record full of self reflection and lessons learnt. Mic Righteous tells his story about living in the beach town of Margate in the UK, which slowly dried up as a tourist attraction at one point, leaving people to lose their jobs and live in difficult times. Expect what you hear to be raw, uncensored, with tales of struggle.
Mic Righteous’ Dreamland is out now available to buy on iTunes and stream on Spotify.
