Do you believe me now when I say that the NBA is in trouble? Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors seem like a team that can play together. Most people say that it is difficult to see them gelling well due to the amount of stars they have. However, today September 29, 16, ESPN placed an article titled, “Warriors’ offense adjusting around Kevin Durant”. In this article, it is announced that the Warriors plan on running the offense through Kevin Durant. Coach of the Golden State Warriors Steve Kerr told Kevin Durant that the offense is going to revolve around his aggressive offensive play.
In my opinion, this eliminates the issue of shots for the offense. The Golden State Warriors acknowledge that Kevin Durant will be the focal point of the offense. It is scary to look at the star power of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as back ups, but is reality. The 30 point per game point guard and the 22 point per game shooting guard are both under a new star, Kevin Durant.
What team can beat them in an offensive juggernaut that the Golden State Warriors are? Their starting five has four of the top fifteen players in the NBA. This is by far the greatest scoring team in NBA history. Even though they don’t have the most size in the NBA, they were able to acquire some height with Zaza Pachulia, Javale Mcgee and David West.
