OH SNAP!! Raven-Symone gave fans some exciting news on the View this week. The co-host stated that she will be leaving the View but will be going to back to Disney to do a That’s so Raven spin-off, and life as we know it is good again. The original show aired for 4 years on the Disney channel and was nominated for several awards. The original show was about a teen girl named Raven Baxter who had psychic abilities to see into the future and prevent things before they happened, which always lead to a series of unfortunate events.
According to media site GOT, the former child star made the announcement on The View:
“I’m excited and sad, but mostly excited. I have an announcement to make: No, I’m not pregnant… There’s no title yet, but I’m calling it That’s So Raven 2. … It’s Raven Baxter. It’s still me. But I am a mother this time. I’m going to be a single mother raising two kids, and one of them learns that she has visions.”
Symone will also serve as the executive producer for the upcoming show. Although details of when the show will actually come back to the small screen is in the beginning phases, it’s going to be a little different to see the high school teen all grown up with children of her own. But we’re sure it will garner the same laughs and quirky hi-jinks just as the first one did. The show will have quite a few new faces and promises to see some old faces too.
Symone will continue to be a co-host on The View until December of this year.
