Malay Ho took to Instagram yesterday to tease fans over something coming in the near future that would involve Frank Ocean.
Malay Ho is a Grammy winning, American producer and songwriter. Malay has worked with several impressive talents over the years, however is seen as one of the primary forces behind Frank Ocean’s debut album Channel Orange. Malay not only helped Ocean write the album, but also contributed his production skills on every single track.
Yesterday, Malay posted a photo to Instagram with the caption “M A L A Y | B O O T Y C L U B FT. F R A N K O C E A N” (see below). Other than the caption and obscure photo accompanying it, there is little to no information on what this feature might be. In a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) back in August, a user asked if they could be taken to the Booty Club and Malay told them to wait for tickets and rules. Additionally, one user discovered that if you call a phone number that Malay tweeted in September, you will be directed to a woman’s voice welcoming you to The Booty Club. However, once she tries directing you to the number for VIP service, you become disconnected due to “technical circumstances”.
While there may not be an abundance of information at this time, the close relationship between Malay and the ever elusive Frank Ocean, is leading fans to believe this might be something more than just a single or left over track. Some Reddit users have even gone as far as to suggest perhaps its a new venue that one can visit (an actual booty club?), others have speculated it may be an upcoming tour bent on breaking the traditions and expectations of a traditional tour.
Regardless of what may transpire from this “feature”, its safe to assume fans want it. Bad.
