2016 truly seems to be the year for alternatives forms of hip-hop to break and it’s this very climate that allows Lorii Woods‘ “Savage” to gain traction.
With a sound that’s reveals influences from Tory Lanez, Travis Scott and Post Malone but primarily all his own, “Savage” takes the listener on a trippy musical voyage that satisfies a taste bud they didn’t know they had.
The echoing track, produced by TY Nitty, feels much more like a moment than a single and in a time where social media let’s new artists over saturate themselves, Woods’ elusive bio (which fails to mention where he hails from) and spaced-out sound manage to help us want to watch this rookie.
Let us know if you’re rocking with it!
