Bronx artist Artist Dubose, also known as, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie comes through with a project, TBA EP.
This new no-feature six-track EP is a small sample of what we can expect from the up and coming 20-year-old Highbridge MC. Traditional New York flavor, intertwined with some smooth R&B. He gives you his hood struggles and let’s us know his strong affinity for ladies. You can hear him go New York on “Ransom” and he gives you won for the ladies on “Baecation.”
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie gained notoriety from his hits “My Shit,” which landed No. 14 on Billboard‘s Twitter Emerging Artists chart in August, “Friend Zone” and “Bag on Me.” Then he followed up with his Highbridge the Label joint project with fellow New Yorker Don Q. From there, A Boogie opened for three spot dates on Drake and Future’s Summer Sixteen tour.
Now this kid is back on the scene doing his solo thing, and he is one of the many New York artists who are bring that traditional identity sound back to hip-hop. This is a very exciting time for the east coast region, they have really been killing the game with consistency, and we look forward to the future as they progress.
