Renaissance Man Azad Right, VP of Mind of a Genius (which has talent like Zhu and Gallant aligned with them) and musical artist, sturdily clenched the creative reigns of his mind and released ‘Sweet,’ one of the singles from his upcoming project, A Very Emotional EP. If this song is any indication, his mind is filled with heavy basslines, effortless melodies, and anime references.
The track is produced by HUCCI, who famously remixed The Mamas and Papas song “California Dreamin’” way back. HUCCI compliments Azad’s lyricism in much the same way he did for The Mamas and Papas, riddling his voice with a heavy trap beat that could be the anthem of any underground concert. Shoutout to Azad for the Dragonball Z reference, with the lyric “When I hit you it’s kamehameha, cause girl I got rounds for ya,” which is exactly what it sounds like when the bass reverberates through your ears.
You can download the track here, and keep up with Azad at his Twitter, where news about his new project, due October 26th, will definitely continue surface.
