Yesterday marked 20 years since the death of Tupac Shakur. During his brief 25-year lifetime, the iconic outspoken emcees had a heavy impact on society using his platform to shed light on many social injustices. As a result of his death, the up and coming movie All Eyez on Me, is a biopic based on his life. To celebrate the anniversary of Pac’s death, the film makers released a second trailer to the movie that’s scheduled to be in theaters in November.
The detailed trailer starring Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Tupac, is a little under two minutes long but it captures every stage of Tupac’s life. It vividly shows a young Pac witnessing police brutality, it shows Pac at the height of his career speaking on being out by then Vice President Dan Quayle. The trailer also highlights his mother Afeni Shakur, who is played by The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira, his life in jail and chronologies every single event that took place before the Las Vegas shooting.
This trailer is short, but it the hype is definitely real. The anticipation of the All Eyez on Me is building and if the trailer gives us indication of what the film is going to be like, then we have a hell of a movie coming.
Other notable roles in the movie are: Jamal Woolard as The Notorious B.I.G., Grace Gibson as Faith Evans, Kat Graham as Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Stefon Washington as Puff Daddy. The Benny Boom-directed All Eyez On Me still does not have a firm release date but they’re pushing for November. Check out the trailer below.
